Mother + Daughter = Best Friends.

Losing one's best friend is not easy. Nor the person with whom one has spent 43 years of one's life.
Well, I had to face it. Life became different from that moment on. Like a shade of protection over my head had been removed. No, its not a feeling that can be packed away by saying, "You have to move on" or, "That's life."
It's her B'day today. And, I want to show some of her creations, done just before she had cancer. She was always creating stuff out of things found at home, as far as I can remember. Be it bits of broken glass plates that my brother and I had broken as children or figures from old twisted roots or toothpaste caps, dal, lentils pasted onto board to look amazing...well, the list is endless. I am sorry I can't paste many of her creations because we don't have them with us anymore.
So, here are few of the glass and pot paintings, decorations that my mother did.
With lots of love.

    1. She did. From anything she found. Colored thread, shells, dal, mud, mirrors...just about anything. She opened up my eyes to different possibilities to things.
