Ruffled Silk

The day outside my balcony was so grey and misty that standing by the railings made me feel I was at the  prow of the Titanic, and, all I could think of was poetry.
It made me think of the vast blue seas and their magic.
These are few lines I wrote.

  Ruffled silk

The ruffled blue sea silk on your face

Listen to the music in the conch.

The magic of the cool wind blowing

 Waving silken wands of fortune

 Escape from golden castles

Into the shimmering, diamond studded blue

Raise your face to the magic

Listen to the music in the conch.

from the 'Titanic'

from my balcony..the rain has covered the harbor

This journal page of mine shows an antique cupboard I have.

Passed on from my father who got it from his mom.

The line goes back one more generation.

So, it sure has lots of memories.

My antique cupboard.
