2012- A year of art

A year has gone by...a year that saw me making more art and importantly sharing it for the first time ever. I realized many of my own skills, talents and gained more clarity into understanding myself.
It has definitely been my journey in blog land that helped me reach many goals and also realize I have many more to accomplish. While these realizations add depth to my life, I must also thank all of my dear readers who are the real reasons behind my wings gaining strength and confidence to fly thus far!
Thank you to all of you!

I visited the Kochi Muziris Biennle 2012 ( more pics later) and this is the note I saw on the wall leading to an exhibit...an interesting message for the next year.

interesting and positive in its message....as the next year must be!

A painting I did which I would like to title 'Interstices',  the dictionary meaning is 'An intervening space, esp. a small or narrow one.'
My work seeks to bring out tiny spaces, both within and without, that at once defines us and merges us with a larger context.
Like objects that pass though a  sieve, does time pass through, leaving thoughts, memories, experiences that creates perforated selves. Interstices shows our perforated selves with which we live.

  2. I love the positive challenge. Awesome! And I like the painting style too--it reminds me of both batik and stained glass--and succeeds beautifully in illustrating your reflection on time. Happy New Year. :)
