Magic of the thought!

Red and blues are the color prompt at SoC...and it was a joy to use these strong colors to depict a range of emotions from the poetry of rain to the indomitable strength within each one of us.

“Happiness ... not in another place but this place, not for another hour but this hour.”
— Walt Whitman

When the rain worked its magic, who could keep away?  Who ever did not feel its magic even once?

"Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby."
Langston Hughes

Our perceptions create the magic in the world around us. The strength, the beauty is in the power of the thought. A face I painted on layer of a calendar page .

pen and ink on my journal page.
And the same painting from my journal page  that I played with digitally.

"Never limit yourself because of others' limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination." ~ Mae Jemison, astronaut

Another red and blues painting I did, on my computer....

Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen.
Wolfgang Von Goethe

  9. Beautiful paintings and each so unique. I love the rainy day piece, but my favourite is the one done over a calendar page. The way the grid shows through reminds me of the bingo cards I often use in my work. I'm amazed you could do the third all by computer - you are a multi-talented being!

  20. I don't know how I missed this last week.
You've shown how to use these colours, everything you've made here makes the colours together look good and I think that's quite an achievement. I love your lady hanging out the washing in the wind, great shapes and all-over design, and your two portraits in blues and reds are so imaginative. I really appreciated your quotes too, very inspiring.
