Experiences and experiments and inspiration.

“The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.”
― Jean Paul Sartre

A week filled with so many experiences.

From packing stuff to setting up stall in Bangalore and being there in person as people came by to look at my work, it was definitely a new experience.  It was quite a treat to meet people who loved and understood my work. Some of the interesting experiences included people asking if I would teach art to buyers visiting the ATM nearby to buy my creations! I also had funny experiences where some picked up my stones and looked at me like, “How on earth did you think of such a thing!”  (I loved looking like the whacky artist, you bet! ;-)) Some wanted to know what set one work apart from the other, which, I must say, stumped me momentarily because to me each one of my painting is equally dear and equally close to my heart. They are records of the thoughts, feelings going on within me, the total connectivity that I feel with each work.

Was a beautiful day. With happy repercussions.

Now to some pics starting with the lovely blue sky through which I cruised...

As an aside - there is something about flying which makes me think of the layers and layers beneath the clouds to the micro minutiae  of cities and life going on ever so usually on the surface of this planet that we completely take for granted!
And as the aircraft arced in a wide swoop I imagined the tilted visual plane that birds get to see.
A birds eye view indeed!
Hmm...might be good for my next painting!

And now for what I have been painting after I got back,

And this blue angel, with some of the progress pictures...

Another interesting thing that I want to share is that a cookbook that I was translating has been published. It contains the family recipes of  an ancient Christian family belonging to Kerala. It was a great experience because I got to learn a lot of culinary terms and the typical  Kerala Christian recipes left me in awe of these ladies who are such great cooks!

See you all next week. Have a happy week!
