Behind Doors

My attempt at micro fiction in just a few sentences.

"Where, where?" he panicked, as he ran up and down the corridor of closed doors. The corridor stretched endlessly and he had only few seconds to get out before the place was sealed off. He called out to her as loud as he could. The silence grew thicker and more stifling by the second. And then, he saw, one door opened few inches inward with a golden key hanging on the knob. Stepping inside, he knew he would never make it out.

Hope you enjoy reading it. I have linked up this to Sian's story telling Sunday.

  2. Oh, something a little bit different! I'd be very interested to know which came first - the picture or the idea for the piece?

  4. Interesting and intriguing. I had never heard of micro fiction. It's hard to create that much sentence in a few words. You did a great job at it!

    1. The idea was to express the sense of frantic dash to escape from something and, a realization that it seems improbable. Memories..or something more tangible? I leave to you, readers.
