Windy Ways!
It is
the rainy season
and I have a special friend nowadays,
The wind:
which shows its face at my apartment
in different guises.
It appears like a playmate,
at times, beckoning me excitedly for a game.
Sometimes,
scowling like an old witch,
it screams in my ears like a banshee.
Like a lover,
looks intensely into my eyes,
breathless!
Always,
it manages to get my attention
and I spend hours feeling it
wrapping itself round
me!
Let me share with you paintings of mine, which personifies the playfulness, anger, and intensity of my friend, the wind!
Li'l fairies come to play! |
And, an angry woman sketch,
A scowling woman sketch I did. |
Looking intensely! |
Let me 'wind up' this post with a quote I found,
what great prose - so descriptive about the ways of the wind - it is my least favourite type of weather (unless it's a warm breeze and I'm lying on a sunbed somewhere lovely and warm!) but you've managed to make it sound like something to look forward to and your illustrations capture those different moods perfectly!
