Paris panache!
What do you want most to do? That is what I have to keep asking myself, in the face of difficulties.
Katherine Mansfield.
I have not travelled much, so when I
read or see pictures of distant places,
I imagine myself in those places and go
on journeys by myself.
In my imagination, I have been to places like Greece,
Rome, Venice…
One place that I would love to visit is Paris.
Therefore, this
time, growing wings, my journal page set off to Paris in an excited flight!
Come, with me on this journey of
complete fun. Forget cares, worries...let us just enjoy… Ok?
First sight of Paris for me is (would be ) magical!

Montmarte...and all those artists! ( google pic) |
Street side cafes! ( google) |
Musee d' Orsay restaurant. ( google) |
Shop for vintage souvenirs like this one which has Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sacré Coeur de Montmartre, L'Arc De Triumphe, Opera House and the Hotel Des Invalides linked together!! ( google.) |
That Paris exists and anyone could choose to live anywhere else in the world will always be a mystery to me.
Adriana in Midnight in Paris
Yes, yes..I do live far, far away from this inspiring city, but I will perhaps be able to visit it one day! After all dreaming never hurt anyone, right?
And, now, my own page,
And, now, my own page,
An artist has no home in Europe, except in Paris!
Friedrich Nietzsche
Don't you agree? Do you all have special, distant places that you feel you MUST visit?

ReplyDeleteI just loved it! :)
DeleteGreat photos. I've been lucky to have been to Paris on various occasions as I have all my relatives on my Mom's side living in France. Your ecstatic page is just beautiful and captures the dream so well. Creating a page of a dream destination is wonderful-it's putting it out there in the universe and what's to say it won't one day happen? My dream place (tho I have many) especially is Ireland and yes, I have put it out there by creating a journal page. I've enjoyed reading all your quotes too.Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much! Hope our dreams work out! It was quite a happy feeling writing, painting about it. :)
DeleteI love that joyful painting - love the colors and the scarf streaming in the wind.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gina! My heart fluttered in Paris...I just thought of that and I am smiling!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Kristin!
DeleteKeep dreaming...I did and I got there and many other places in this wonderful world of ours. Your painting shows your desire and exhuberance!
ReplyDeleteIt will be that exciting too!
That is true..maybe I will get there. Who knows? :-)
DeleteWhat a charming post! I think you MUST go to Paris!! I wish to visit Palm Island someday...I dream of it all the time. Happy SS!
ReplyDeleteAh..we all have our own dream destinations. I'm sure you will definitely go there soon!
DeleteLove your painting and your tribute to Paris. Hope you get there sooner rather than later!
ReplyDeleteYep...sooner! Thank you so much.
DeleteWhat a wonderful trip you took us on and a great piece!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great that I could go there without leaving my chair? ;)
DeleteYou know I feel really bad because although I've been to Paris three times, I've never really 'done' Paris. The first time I was just passing through and only had an afternoon and evening (managed the Eifel Tower!). Next two times I was working. I don't even live that far away - just a few hours by train. I really should go. I want to go!! You are inspiring me to go!
ReplyDeleteLove the ecstatic dance as they celebrate their arrival in the beautiful city.
You should definitely spend time in Paris and hope I have inspired you to write about it too!
DeleteThere are so many places I want to visit and one day I will get to many of them... I love your paris page and thanks for sharing all those wonderful pics as well... very inspiring...xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tracey. Wishing for you to visit all those wonderful places soon!

ReplyDeleteSerena, Thank you so much for visiting me!
DeleteWell, if this doesn't capture the spirit of Paris, I don't know what does! I have been lucky enough to have done Paris up properly, now my dream is St. Petersburg, Vienna and Budapest.
ReplyDeleteOh my God! Those are lovely places too! I was so happy writing about the place I wanted to visit and I am happier now that I find others enjoying it too!
DeleteGreat Eiffel Tower - and that must be you at the bottom jumping up and down with joy!
ReplyDeleteI was not too sure how my Eiffel tower would come out. I had to actually look up some pictures! :)So glad you liked it!
DeleteLove your photos and the piece of art. Great choice of colours. :)
ReplyDeleteThe choice of colors was an unplanned one! I was going to use browns..but I felt those too serious...I wanted FUN! Happy that you liked it, Alexandra!
