Untangled narratives!

I painted green and purple on two pieces of newspaper.

The words ‘tangled narratives’ got stuck in my head after reading it somewhere.

As I was painting, I noticed that the newspaper I was painting on had the words

 ‘float like a butterfly’.

Therefore, a combination of the two has become my journal page today.

Soon the mind, like a butterfly drifted
and here I have the result for you…

Few lines inspired by my golden butterfly.

 My sleep vacated eyes

Fall on the green painting

On my golden butterfly

That floats free above

 Purple tangled narratives.

My thoughts

Flit across

Through the heavy umber

Onto the silk of your shoulders

And the gold in your

Cinnamon voice

When you loved me

Long, long ago.

Float like a butterfly through the tangled narratives of life.

I painted on old newspaper.

A card I'm making.

This is a work I was doing today…a card for a recently married girl. I have to add a few more details…thinking of adding 3D pearl drops and silver ribbons. Hope you all like it.

This is the first time I have painted a card with the purpose of giving it away! I sincerely hope she likes it!

Who knows? Maybe I will get requests for more! That would give me chance to do something I enjoy and perhaps sell a few. Big dreams!  ;-)

    1. Yes, I realized I can draw in a different style when I 'let go' and more controlled manner too! I love the freedom of drawing from my intuition...just letting the page kind of draw itself!
