Fall Fearless - Fly High
Artists in blogland made me think about the future with their challenge.
Headline Prompt: Inventing the Future:
Where do you want to be 5, 10, 15 years from now. What's holding you
back? What's propelling you forward? What do you need to do or stop
doing to create your future?
Color Prompt: Warm colors (reds, oranges, pinks, yellows)
Quote Prompt: "The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time." Abraham Lincoln

To write about the future, I needed to consider how I spent the last couple of years.
After quitting my unbearably stagnant job, I took care of my dying
mother. Dealing with death, a period of
unemployment and other upheavals in life made me start blogging.
Blogging led me to painting in my art journal regularly.
I realized I totally enjoyed
expressing myself through my art and writing. The kind, fellow bloggers who
welcomed me literally gave me a new breath of life.
Looking ahead, at times, I see horizons that merge into a soft blur,
yet, there is
enough light to let me see that five years from now,
I see more peace, light, strength and joy in my life.
I see myself as an artist, a writer - shedding my unnecessary diffidence. I see myself with the self-satisfaction of doing what I love, propelled forward by my passion for art, self-expression.
A quiet moment of contemplation is what we need to approach Future. A moment by myself helps me put things in perspective and the future then approaches quietly, a day at a time, hopefully taking me towards my dreams!

I would like to add this quote that I found very meaningful,
“Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you.
All they show is limitation.
Look with your understanding.
Find out what you already know and you will see the way to fly.”
Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
Also, linking up with all the lovely artists on Art Journal Everyday and Paint Party Friday.
