The Fairy who lived in the woods...

Last week when I sat down to paint, it was a woodland fairy who popped up on the leftover postcard papers I had
(after Marcia had the awesome swap at Artists in Blogland,
I loved it so much,
I am a postcard monster now!!)

She is a wild, elusive one, merging with the woody bark of the trees.

At times, if you look carefully, you can spot her midst the fresh green of the wild fruits.

Like the gentle quiver of a dew-drop, her gown floats around her.

You have to go to the deep, dark woods to see her.

And, you have to believe.

Though I did not intend her to be a delicate fairy, I detect a tenderness in her.

A purity, kindness and, also, no doubt lots of mischievous fun!

So, when the sun shines on some golden spot in the woods, be sure to look out for her!

I call her Imagination…what do you call her?

  14. I like how you managed to see the fairy in the paper, is ethereal, sweet and naughty at the same time as a dream of a summer night. I believe in fairies and mythological beings at all, it would be the human being without that magic. Great job, thanks for visiting my blog. hugs
